FONDA, NY – On Saturday evening the winged wonders of the Capital Region Sprint Car Agency will be making their second appearance of the season at Gary Palmer’s Accord Speedway as part of the King of the Catskills weekend.

Andy Bachetti, of Sheffield, Mass., was the 2008 Modified champion at Accord and the winner of the Budweiser National 20 at Lebanon Valley Speedway. This Saturday night he’ll be making his first ever CRSA sprint car start.

Bachetti has secured a ride in the Jerky Boys No. 91 which is normally piloted by Anthony Brennan and Dan Hennessey. The deal was brokered Tuesday afternoon and is part of the special weekend for the CRSA.

John Brennan, of the Jerky Boys, is scheduled to be in attendance on Saturday night to sign autographs for the fans attending the end of the season event.

The last time the drivers of the CRSA visited the quarter-mile bull ring, local favorite, Jeremy Quick from nearby Kerhonkson, N.Y., took home the win. Prior to this weekend’s events, Quick is the current point leader and is looking to hold off the rest of the top runners in the CRSA to claim his first ever series title.

On Saturday afternoon the pit gates open at 3:30pm with spectator gates opening one hour later. Warm-ups are scheduled to hit the track at 6pm with racing getting underway at 6:30pm.
